International research collaborations are of great importance for you as a scientist. These projects allow you not only to benefit from the knowledge and know-how of your partners and to build your personal network, but they are also an excellent opportunity to promote yourself and your research.
But where to get funds for such projects?
The most important funding initiative in Europe is the 7th Framework Programme (FP7) of the EU. In the framework programme scientific as well as technological objectives and the financial framework are clearly defined. The broad objectives of the FP7 are divided into four categories: Cooperation, Ideas, People and Capacities. During the period 2007-2013, the European Commission supports companies and universities with a total budget of 53 billion Euros.
In addition to the FP7, there a many other funding possibilities. But getting an overview of all initiatives needs certain know-how and several years of experience in the field of research funding. If you need help getting a summary of the possible programmes and suitable calls or write your proposal, EUrelations AG would be pleased to support you. Learn more about our services here.
